About the London Gardens Network
The London Gardens Network was formed in 2009 to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas between professional gardeners. We now welcome gardeners from all over the UK
Gardening across the UK
We originally felt there was a particular set of pressures that gardeners within the M25 faced and we felt that we could help alleviate the pressures by creating a network of gardeners who could share information and support one another.
We soon realised that there was a need and demand to widen our network and support gardeners across the country. We now have over 250 gardeners involved and the numbers keep growing!
We aim to be of benefit not just to horticultural managers but also trainees and all levels in between, by promoting the highest standards of practical expertise. We are keen on creating an atmosphere of learning and mentoring for those new to gardening.
Annual Seminar
Every year we hold seminars for UK wide gardeners, typically in early spring and autumn. Previous seminars have covered a variety of horticultural subjects, including biodiversity, conservation, managing volunteers and careers in horticulture.
Not-for-profit
London Gardens Network (LGN) is a not-for-profit group. Excess funds are donated annually to our seminar hosts and selected charities.
